This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you visit the MiaoMiao City website or contact us by email.

We follow a principle of data minimization and process only the information reasonably necessary to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the website.

MiaoMiao City is a creative world-building project exploring future cities, technology, nature, and life.

MiaoMiao City provides an optional website account feature that is available through Google sign-in.

When you choose Sign in with Google, Google and Supabase may provide or process the information needed to authenticate your account, including:

• Google account identifier
• Email address
• Display name
• Profile image URL, when provided
• Authentication and session metadata

MiaoMiao City does not receive your Google password. A website account is separate from fictional resident records and does not assign a resident identity or population ordinal.

When you visit the website, hosting and infrastructure providers may automatically process limited technical information, such as:

• IP address
• Browser type
• Device and operating system information
• Access time
• Requested pages and resources
• Security, diagnostic, and performance logs

If you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, message, and any attachments.

MiaoMiao City supports:

• Traditional Chinese

The website may use your browser language preference to select an appropriate language version.

When you manually choose a language, the website stores that preference in a first-party cookie named:

You may delete or block this cookie through your browser settings. If you do so, the website may not remember your preferred language.

When you sign in, Supabase Auth stores session information in browser storage so the website can keep you signed in and refresh the session securely. Signing out removes the active local session.

Technical information is processed only as reasonably necessary to:

• Prevent abuse and malicious activity
• Diagnose technical problems
• Improve performance and reliability

Information sent by email is used to read and respond to your message, handle privacy-related requests, and maintain reasonable records of the communication where necessary.

Account information is used only to authenticate you, display your account status, maintain account security, and provide account-related website features.

MiaoMiao City relies on third-party service providers to operate the website and receive email.

These currently include:

• Vercel, for website hosting and deployment
• Cloudflare, for domain services, network protection, email routing, and Cloudflare R2 resource delivery
• Google, where forwarded project email may be received and stored through Gmail

These providers may process limited technical or communication information as necessary to provide their services, subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

Account authentication is provided by Google OAuth and Supabase Auth. These providers process authentication data subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

MiaoMiao City currently does not use:

• Advertising networks
• Tracking pixels
• Behavioral advertising
• Cross-site tracking technologies
• User profiling systems for advertising

We do not sell personal information.

We do not disclose personal information to third parties except where reasonably necessary to operate the website, receive and respond to communications, protect the website and its visitors, or comply with applicable legal obligations.

We use modern web infrastructure and HTTPS encryption to help protect information transmitted between visitors and the website.

No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Technical logs are retained according to the operational and security practices of the relevant infrastructure providers.

Email communications may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain records, resolve disputes, or meet applicable obligations.

You may contact us to ask a privacy-related question or request deletion of an email communication where reasonably possible.

Signed-in users can permanently delete their MiaoMiao City website account from the account page. Deletion removes the website account and associated authentication records, but does not delete the user’s Google account. The same Google account may create a new website account later; deleted account data is not restored.

We may update this Privacy Policy when website features, infrastructure, or practices change.

The latest version will be published on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.
